Quarter 2 Science Exam Study Guide
For the Quarter 2 Exam you will be tested on the information from Unit 3 Lesson 5, Unit 4 Lessons 1, 2, 4, and 5 and Unit 5 Lesson 1. You are responsible to know and understand all of the vocabulary in this study guide as well as the information from the textbook, the online lessons, and any activities or notes in your Science notebook.


Unit 3 Plants and Animals

Lesson 5 How Are Living Things Adapted to Their Environment?

Vocabulary: Environment, Adaptation, Physical adaptation, Behavioral adaptation,  Instinct
*Define and explain the terms environment and adaptation.
* Define and explain physical and behavioral adaptations.
*Recognize physical and behavioral adaptations in plants and animals.

Unit 4 Energy & Ecosystems

Lesson 1 What are populations, habitats, and niches?

*Describe the relationships between producers, consumers, and decomposers.

Lesson 2 What are food chains?

*Demonstrate that a food chain shows how energy moves from producers to consumers.

Explain why all animals depend on producers such as plants.
